Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to Shotcall?

A: Shotcall is a platform and marketplace that connects content creators and communities of gamers for a chance to play one-on-one in tournaments settings, as well as hold coaching sessions, Q&As, queue lines, charity events and more to monetize their content; if they so choose to charge. Whether a creator or a fan, Shotcall allows individuals to effortlessly manage schedules to connect with other gamers.

Q: Can you describe a typical use case for your solution?

A: Whether you are a creator that plays Super Smash Bros and wants to run a queue line every week to play 1 on 1 with as many fans as possible, an esports player who wants to run their own tournaments, or maybe you just want to raise money for charity by bringing your community into your content, you can do it all on Shotcall.

Q: Who would be your ideal user and why?

A: Shotcall is the destination for fans to play games with their favorite people. Do you have a fanbase? Do you game? Then you should be on Shotcall. We pride ourselves on fostering a community of inclusivity; so whether you’re a celebrity, athlete, creator, Shotcall allows fans to play their favorite games with the hosts they admire, while also creating important monetization opportunities for creators.

Q: You’ve recently raised $2,200,000 in Seed funding; can you tell us something more?

A: With this funding, we’ve grown the Shotcall team from four people to 15 and are working diligently to enhance the technology in the platform. New Stack and Lerer Hippeau joined Initial Capital as investors in our seed round.

Q: What can we expect from Shotcall in the next six months?

A: For the next 2 quarters we are focusing on partnership and tech expansions. Being that we are a community driven platform, we build for our users and their specific needs.
