Below is our recent interview with Dominic Kent, Director of Content Marketing & Communications at Mio:
Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: Mio’s technology solves a common problem that exists when talking to external contacts—too many siloed messaging apps.
By enabling external contacts to chat in universal channels, everyone can share files, reply to threads, and edit messages—all from their tool of choice. Mio helps multi-teams chat better, together.
Chat with 2, 3, 4, or more companies in a single universal channel across Slack, Microsoft Teams, & Webex..
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: We recently added direct messaging capabilities. So, now you can send a DM from Slack to users in Microsoft Teams – all without leaving Slack.
Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: Enterprises with more than one collaboration platform love Mio as there’s no additional software to install. If you have teams on both Slack and Microsoft Teams, all you need to do is install our app and it works in the background. We bridge together two (or more) platforms and make it possible to communicate cross-platform without leaving your favorite app.
Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: We’re working on adding a Zoom integration. So, soon you’ll be able to connect Microsoft Teams and Zoom just as you can Microsoft Teams, Slack, and Webex today. As millions of people started using Zoom last year for video calls, more and more people have started to use Zoom Chat too – only their colleagues are already using other platforms at the same time.
Q: What is a great thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: You can try the Mio app for free! There’s no need to add credit card information, and it’s not a trial. You can install a universal channel, connect your platforms, and get started in less than two minutes.
