Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: Fireflies is an AI meeting assistant that joins meetings across platforms like Zoom, Google Meet, MSFT Teams, to capture, transcribe, and make meetings searchable.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: The $14m Series A was led by Khosla Ventures, with participation from seed investors, Canaan Partners. Sandhya Venkatachalam, partner at Khosla Ventures joins Rayfe Gaspar-Asaoka, partner at Cannan on the board of directors. The company also has angel investors who are current/previous executives at organizations like Slack, Salesforce, Dropbox, Hopin, and Facebook.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: From capturing conversations, transcribing meetings, and making them easily searchable, Fireflies is creating an automated knowledge base for organizations. Whether it’s key feedback from customer calls, important insights during hiring interviews, or decisions made during all-hands meetings, Fireflies helps teams document and collaborate around the voice of their customers, candidates, and employees. After the meeting, the platform orchestrates actions in systems of records where teams already work. For example, Fireflies can auto-log calls and notes in CRMs, create tasks in Asana, or save meeting recaps to Dropbox.
Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: The Fireflies vision is expanding beyond automatic meeting notes. We want to automate the work that happens post meetings in the apps that you already use.
After the meeting, our platform will orchestrate actions in your systems of records where you already work. For example, Fireflies can auto-log calls and notes in your CRM, create tasks in Asana, or save meeting recaps to a Dropbox folder.

Q: What is a great thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: When we first designed Fireflies, we wanted it to work with the ecosystem of tools that we use every single day. Fireflies connects to your calendar and can even capture meetings scheduled via tools like Calendly or x.ai. The entire experience can be automated with just a few clicks. This past year, Fireflies has been in meetings, taking notes for over 2 million people across 200,000 orgs. That is equivalent to several centuries of meetings compressed in a short period of time.
