Below is our recent interview with Josh Rogers, Co-founder and CCO at RPM Training Co., following the company’s announcement that orders are now open for Atom, a first of its kind, complete at-home functional training experience.

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?

A: We are an active lifestyle brand with a focus on the intersection of training and outdoor/action sports, and the consumers who don’t identify with the traditional fitness brand landscape. We make premium fitness gear, activewear, and lifestyle apparel, and recently launched an at-home training program (Atom) that includes traditional strength equipment and follow-along virtual classes.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?

A: We’re launching with very aggressive pricing, especially on the equipment side (25% off an already high-value kit price). Anyone looking for an instant home gym build-out is going to be very pleased. We’re also offering 3 months of Atom Unlimited Training free with any gear kit purchase.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: Functional training (true strength training mixed with cardio and calisthenics) is the most effective method for improving fitness, but can be somewhat intimidating to start, and has always been more difficult to replicate at home due to the steeper learning curve on both the equipment needs and movement side. We’re using technology to simplify the process with an interactive gear purchase experience (you’ll be shown exactly what you need) and to provide the training and workout modifications necessary for anyone to get started and have fun doing it.

Q: What can we expect from your company in the next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: We will be adding a variety of features to the Atom platform in the months to come, including more training programs, a rewards system to help users stay motivated and track consistency, and a live shared video experience which will support working out with friends in real time. We’re also working on a native app for iOS and Android which should be available in Q1.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: We have a charity initiative called the Iron Compass which we founded to raise awareness and funding for organizations that provide fitness, mentorship, and adventure opportunities to underserved youth. Every year we run a global event, the 10k Challenge, that tasks participants with competing 10,000 jumps (with a jump rope) in 30 days. Last year we logged 28 million jumps and raised $130k for our partner charities. Registration is already live for the next 10k Challenge, which starts January 3rd 2022, and we’d love everyone to join us!
