Below is our recent interview with Colin Johnson, the Founder and CEO at Dynasty 11 Studios:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to Dynasty 11 Studios?

A: Dynasty 11 Studios is a Philadelphia-based, 14-person team of diverse, uniquely skilled, and highly collaborative young professionals. Established in 2016, the company operates with an ethos of industry disrupting problem-solving, and transparent, responsible, and sustainable business operation. Dynasty 11 Studios takes a holistic approach to sustainable business development by working with a widely experienced array of advisors and partners, including Drexel University, Inspire Culture First HR, Imperium Group PR, New Dawn Accounting & Tax Solutions, AWS Activate, and SCORE Business Mentoring.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?

A: It’s an exciting time for us at “D11.” We have a well-functioning app in Alpha Testing, we’ve received warm feedback to our initial press outreach, and our Drexel student collaborators recently won the University’s Senior Project Showcase for their work on Player 2: Winners – 2021-22 Senior Project | College of Computing & Informatics – Drexel University

Q: Can you give us more insights into your projects?

A: Our primary focus, Player 2, is a social networking and team building app for gamers. Designed to address root causes of gaming’s notorious toxicity problem, Player 2 features multiple innovative functions that bring gamers together and support their many needs – lead by Player 2’s unprecedented and proprietary Compatibility Matchmaking. We are also early in development on an innovative and comprehensive audio companion app for Dungeons and Dragons called “Bard,” and in the concept phase of an action-adventure science fiction video game franchise, codenamed “Project Stargazer.”

Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: Currently, Player 2 is in an Alpha Testing phase through the App Store and Google Play. Developmentally, the next 6 months will see a Public Beta Test and further refinement of the Player 2 platform, before its full release later this year. We will also be growing our partnership with Drexel University by taking on 4 new teams of students to work on Dynasty 11 Studios’ projects – primarily Player 2. Business-wise, our focus is on the sustainable development of the Player 2 team by continuing to hire uniquely skilled professionals, building our network of Player 2 Partners, and opening ourselves to opportunities to accelerate and scale our business.

Q: What is the best thing about Dynasty 11 Studios that people might not know about?

A: It’s not a buzzword I hear a lot in business, but we are a uniquely thoughtful company. Our projects and business plans are uncommonly deliberate, purposeful, and actionable – especially for an entertainment tech company. We set out to build Player 2 responsibly from the ground up – by gamers, for gamers, and jam packed with tools that can empower any player’s gaming experience. We’ve accomplished this all while balancing lean, efficient business operation and recruiting some of Philadelphia’s finest young technical talent. So far, our methodology has allowed us to build the foundation of what we hope will become a pillar company of both Philadelphia tech business and the gaming industry.
