Below is our recent interview with Bernie Brenner, CEO at Rollick:
Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to Rollick?
A: Rollick services the powersports, RV, marine and industrial equipment industries with a vehicle buying program and enterprise lead management solution for manufacturers and dealers to increase sales and build customer loyalty through partnerships with America’s largest membership brands.
Q: How would you present the team behind Rollick?
A: We have a deep background in building technology and bringing high quality customers to manufacturers and dealers in the automotive industry.I was formerly co-founder and chief strategy officer of TrueCar, a California-based automotive pricing and information website for car buyers and dealers. TrueCar went public in 2014. Amit Maheshwari, co-founder and President, was Sr. Vice President of Global Enterprise Solutions at Cox Automotive and Sr. Vice President of Corporate Strategy at Dealertrack Technologies. The company has the support of strong Venture Capital firms including Austin-based Silverton Partners, LiveOak Venture Partners, Autotech Ventures, Anthem Ventures and ManchesterStory.
Q: You have recently raised $8,3M, could you tell us more about it?
A: This round of funding allows us to continue our aggressive growth in the powersports and RV industries and ramp up our efforts in the marine and industrial industries. We will be investing in product development and dealer support across our product line and industries served. A portion of the investment was used to fund the acquisition of AVALA Marketing Group in late September. The combined company provides both manufacturers and retailers in distributed dealer networks with an efficient and effective end-to-end marketing solution.
Q: What is the best advice you can give to someone wanting to buy a motorcycle?
A: Our expertise is in helping connect buyers with a dealer that will give them a great experience so they can build a lifelong relationship. Great experiences happen when both parties have trust, accurate and detailed information and a reason to do business together.
Q: Where do you want to be in 5 years?
A: We believe we can help this industry as the market continues to evolve. Millennials are the largest group of motorcycle buyers and fueling the growth in the RV industry. Current marketing programs and retail processes are not in sync with a consumer’s expectations of how a buying process should go. Rollick can help and be a key facilitator between the manufacturer, the dealer and the consumer. These are complex problems in industries that have not seen the innovation that other franchise dealer retail systems have experienced in the past 10 years. We hope we can be a significant part of creating a better experience for both the buyer and the seller.
