Below is our recent interview with Kateryna Bota, from LEAFIO:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?

A: For over 15 years, LEAFIO has been developing innovative software for retailers worldwide. We help to earn more, make fewer mistakes and work more efficiently by using advanced software to streamline routine supply chain processes.

The LEAFIO AI RETAIL PLATFORM is a high-tech AI/ML-based SaaS solution that allows retailers to fully automate inventory management, optimize planograms, build end-to-end merchandising process, increase trade promotions efficiency and assortment profitability.

We have completed over 160 projects with clients from 17 countries on different continents. At the moment, about 20,000 stores are connected to the LEAFIO system.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?

A: We are proud to announce that recently our company has opened representative offices in two cities in Latin America – Mexico City and Sao Paulo. From now, there are Spanish and Portuguese-speaking representatives of the company who are actively interacting with retailers from different industries.

For us, it was somewhat challenging, knowing that most Latin American retailers use domestic ERP systems for inventory, merchandising and assortment management. So it’s no surprise that LEAFIO’s software has generated genuine interest in the region.

Another significant step was the launch of a new ML-based Assortment Performance solution. The software features an AI-based smart assistant that regularly suggests improvements in day-to-day assortment management operations based on a retailer’s strategy.

With the system’s insights and deep analytics, our users can effectively manage SKUs, categories, and statuses to improve their KPIs. And most importantly, as always, we have “hidden” the full power of AI and arrays of analytical reports in a user-friendly interface that our clients couldn’t help but appreciate.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: The LEAFIO AI RETAIL PLATFORM covers all the necessary components of the inventory, promotion and assortment management processes, and shelf space optimization. Unlike the bulky and clumsy systems built in previous decades, the LEAFIO software is incredibly flexible and immediately gives a visible economic result.

With us, you can build an efficient multi-echelon supply chain, optimize inventory, automate replenishment, create planograms and maximize margin per foot/meter of a shelf. The solution allows retailers to keep abreast of what’s happening in each store with a visual dashboard and mobile application to monitor planograms and merchandising standards implementation.

With a highly intelligent process logic inside the solution’s engine, the system’s interface is convenient and intuitive. The LEAFIO cloud solution is suitable for retail businesses of any size and an unlimited number of users.

Q: What can we expect from your company in the next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: The most challenging thing about working with AI and ML is that there is no limit to perfection, and you can never stop developing. Therefore, in the next six months, we plan to improve our models for demand forecasting and promotional planning.

In addition, it is important for us to focus on the further development of the mobile application. Implementation of new planograms, obtaining key information about the product by scanning the barcode, communication with the central office and sending photo reports – all this is to become even more convenient and functional.

And, of course, in terms of expansion and market penetration, next year, we plan to significantly strengthen our team in the US and Canada.
