Below is our recent interview with Matt Schaubroeck, CEO of ioAirFlow:

Q: This is the first time we have spoken. Can you provide a brief overview of ioAirFlow?

A: ioAirFlow’s analysis platform identifies performance and efficiency issues in commercial buildings. Our tool saves customers time spent on analyzing data and drafting reports, which reduces their labour costs by an average of 30% per building tested.

In addition to diagnosing commercial building’s efficiency and IEQ performance, we recommend better, faster, more accurate solutions than traditional data collection and reporting methods.

We use more data points and collect more variables than any other digital energy audit tool, alongside an automated report functionality that provides detailed analysis and visualizations.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your products and services?

A: We are a B2B SaaS company offering customers access to our digital diagnostics platform, as well as the hardware required to collect the data that populates our report. This licensing model will allow our customers to access our software and database.

As part of that licensing agreement, our customers receive the hardware required to collect the data our platform needs. This hardware is leased by ioAirFlow rather than purchased, ensuring we can buy the hardware at the lowest price, passing the savings onto our customers.

Q: IoAirFlow comes from Canada, but where else are your services available at the moment?

A: Right now we are offering our services in Canada, with partners currently established in Ontario, British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta. We are working towards becoming an industry leader in the healthy building industry, and to become a worldwide solutions provider.

Q: What are your plans for the second half of 2021?

A: We’re launching our licensing system in Canada this summer. We anticipate launching our solution in the United States later this year, starting in New York City, where their municipal government’s Local Law 97 has mandated a mandatory emission reduction for all commercial buildings of 40% by 2030. We are also working with companies in Colorado and Pennsylvania.During that time we’ll be launching several new product updates, including real-time analysis and building commissioning – the ability to test in real-time whether a building’s mechanical systems are installed properly and functioning as intended.
