Rebel.com is committed to helping people participate in what they see as the world’s bravest communication space – the internet. Below is our recent interview with Jana Dybinski, VP Marketing and Culture at Rebel.com:
Q: For those who haven’t heard of it, what is the best way to describe Rebel.com?
A: We help people build websites, and offer a range of web hosting, domain name, site building, email, and online security solutions. Basically, our services help thought leaders, organizations, entrepreneurs, web developers, and innovators to contribute, share, and succeed online.
Q: You’ve recently announced that you are supporting the Government of Canada’s Connecting Families initiative; could you tell us something more?
A: We’re really excited to be able to connect our award-winning customer support team with the incredible Computers for Success Canada and Connecting Families initiatives. We’re helping out by providing technical support for program participants across Canada. It aligns perfectly with Rebel.com’s own mission to enable greater contribution online. We also recently launched a ChangeMaker program which is designed to connect people and organizations who are doing great things in their communities and the world with Rebel products and services at a significantly reduced cost. More info here.
Q: Can you give us insights into your services?
A: Our services are simple. Website design, web hosting, domains, and tools (SEO toolkits, SSL, etc.) Absolutely everything you need to get online.
Q: What makes you stand out from your competition?
A: Service and culture. In our industry, product offerings and price are all pretty standard, but at Rebel.com we’re committed to making the experience of dealing with us awesome. Our culture isn’t just about what it’s like to work here – it extends to all aspects of interacting with us. Whether you’re attending an event in our Ottawa HQ, interacting as a customer, connecting on social media – we work to make that experience a reflection of the Rebel way, which is all about celebrating bravery and vulnerability. We encourage growth, failure, iterating, testing, and thinking outside the box. We’re guided by this manifesto: Be thoughtful. Be simple. Be brave. (And our customers give us a Trust Pilot score of 4.7 out of 5 so we know we’re delivering on that!)
Q: What we can look forward to seeing from Rebel.com next?
A: Expect a real focus on web design. We have a brilliant team of web pros who are ramping up the web design side of things on an affordable scale. It’s a no-brainer for those who want a gorgeous site for a fraction of what agencies and designers are charging. Check it out…
