InfinityAR is a provider of AR Glasses OS Platform, based on its own inside-out SLAM algorithm. They also offer a Scene Understanding SDK for AR developers. Below is our recent interview with Ronen Heldman, CMO at InfinityAR:
Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to InfinityAR?
A: Our solution enables exceptional productivity and entertainment capabilities for InfinityAR-powered AR glasses and apps, as users can enjoy a unique experience of overlaid virtual objects right in their real world. Many industry verticals can produce superb AR applications that are powered by our solution: Retail, training and education, gaming, industrial, medical, product design, and more.
Q: You’ve recently announced partnership with Nibiru; could you tell us something more?
A: The strategic collaboration is designed to provide a comprehensive solution for electronics manufacturers looking to enter the augmented / mixed reality glasses business. We built a joint end-to end solution from low-level APIs through UI/UX level.
The full offering will include our Inside-Out Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) solution for mixed reality headsets, consisting of a mobile low power, low computation SLAM architecture and Nibiru’s VR/AR Operating System that enables spatial user interface. This will make the mixed reality headsets both light and affordable, while providing immersive user experience.
The plan is to leverage Nibiru’s position as a leading technology innovation corporation based in China, powering hundreds of all-in-one VR headsets and InfinityAR’s cutting edge computer vision technology and system know-how in building mixed reality glasses, which is already implemented in multiple next generation mixed reality glasses.
Q: What advantage does InfinityAR have over its competitors?
A: We worked very hard on developing our unique algorithm that efficiently utilizes resources (battery life, processing power). Also, our solution is based on affordable, off-the-shelf hardware (stereo camera and IMU, mobile SoC), and the result is unmatched, accurate, low-jitter, minimal latency experience.
Q: What are your plans for next four months?
A: In the next few months we plan to focus on extending our collaboration and work with our partners, start working with new partners and continue developing our algorithms to strengthen and expand our offering around AR / mixed reality.
We will also be exhibiting this year at the upcoming AWE event (The world’s #1 event for AR and VR, May 30th – June 1st, Santa Clara CA). so come and meet us!
Q: What’s the best thing about InfinityAR that people might not know about?
A: InfinityAR’s offering is not limited only to designers and manufacturers of AR glasses but is also highly relevant to AR developers. Our offering for AR developers is an SDK plug-in for 3D engine (e.g. Unity) and it includes:
• Automatic AR scene setting and spatial understanding
• Interaction, simulation and debugging tools
• In-editor video streamer and simulator
