Below is our recent interview with Dr. Neil Sarkar, CEO of AdHawk Microsystems – maker of the MindLink Air:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to MindLink Air?

A: MindLink Air is the first fitness tracker for brain health. It took almost a decade, working with the most discerning users of eye tracking technology, to develop a product with research-grade eye tracking that is so frictionless that anybody can use it. The product can measure eye strain, focus, cognitive load and fatigue to reveal insights into your cognitive health, improve your productivity and protect you from burning out.

Q: Please provide a few specific highlights on your latest announcement?

A: This is a new category of wearables that provides the same insights as a fitness tracker, but for your eyes and brain. It’s the first time eye tracking is available in a lightweight pair of glasses (<40g) that is frictionless with invisible technology integration, and it lasts all day on a single charge.

Q: What can we expect from MindLink Air in next 12 months? What are your plans?

A: We’re already wearing prototypes and refining our models of mental state today.

We will take orders in 2024H1 and manufacture and ship in 2024H2

Q: What is the best thing about MindLink Air that people might not know about?

A: Capturing longitudinal data on your neurological activity over time has the potential to improve brain health in humans, to detect the ealiest onset symptoms of neurodegenerative diseases, and to increase our health-span. And, even if you don’t wear glasses normally, MindLink Air is available with clear lenses or as sunglasses. Eye tracking is the most practical and information-rich neural interface available in a wearable today.
