AcctTwo helps organizations achieve success by transforming finance & accounting into a growth enabler and change agent. They do this in two ways. First, by implementing Software-as-a-Service solutions like Sage Intacct and Adaptive Insights which allow finance teams to streamline and automate their processes and gain real-time strategic insights from their accounting and operational systems. Secondly, AcctTwo allows companies and nonprofit organizations to take advantage of a highly skilled and specialized finance staff, from CFO and Controller down to the clerk level, without the burdens of overhead, hiring, training, etc. Below is our interview with Peter Wagner, Director of Marketing at AcctTwo Shared Services:
Q: How can you help businesses be more agile?
A: What does it mean to be agile? Some examples of agility are the ability to quickly implement a new product, promotion, or pricing structure. CFOs and CEOs need access to real-time information to make quick decisions about what’s working and, more importantly, what isn’t. This information needs to come from the financial system, as well as other operational systems, and it can’t be from last month—it needs to be a picture of what’s happening now. If the CFO has access to real-time, accurate, and comprehensive data about the business, they become a strategist and are then enabled to work with other executives to make key decisions. AcctTwo’s systems provide companies and nonprofits with the real-time insights they need to make such accurate and timely decisions. Once a decision is made, an agile business can quickly implement change. AcctTwo’s technology solutions can be configured and re-configured with clicks, not code, and can easily integrate with other best-in-class business systems. As a result, new products and processes can be rolled out from end to end, across all business systems with little to no disruption and no IT investment.
Q: You’ve recently expanded your partnership with Adaptive Insights; could you tell us something more?
A: AcctTwo’s implementation and customer success teams have found that midmarket organizations are now prepared to take further steps to optimize their budgeting, forecasting, planning, and analytics capabilities. To help with that goal, AcctTwo has become an Adaptive Insights solution partner with the ability to sell, implement, consult for, and support the Adaptive Suite solutions. Adding the power of Adaptive Insights – the FP&A and business budgeting software that is easy, powerful, and fast – allows the firm to not only implement two best-in-class complimentary solutions, but also to provide the ongoing guidance and services that will deliver the actual metrics and KPIs to business leaders that will allow them to gain deep insight, remain agile, and keep ahead of the competition.
Q: Tell us something more about Sage Intacct?
A: Intacct has established itself as the #1 financial management solution in customer satisfaction for midmarket organizations and the only solution endorsed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. With the recent acquisition by Sage, the company is now positioned to achieve even more through access to more research and development resources as well as the opportunity to increase the company’s international footprint.
Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: We see an opportunity for companies to outsource or subscribe to the collection, analysis, and delivery of their data. Midsized companies are implementing cloud applications which generate a lot of data. Rather than simply implementing another cloud technology solution to aggregate and deliver that data, which might become obsolete as their needs and their business changes, we envision businesses subscribing to a service that manages and analyzes their data, advises them on what metrics to track, helps them understand the significance of those metrics, and helps them adjust as things change. We see this as a future addition to AcctTwo’s service offerings.
