Q: What is Utopia Analytics?
A: Utopia is a text analytics company, unique in a way that our AI understands all languages, dialects and slangs on the planet. The company was established in Finland in 2014. Today, we work with the leading media and digital brands all around the globe.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: Earlier this year we did for the Ministry of Justice a hate speech comparison from platform to platform. Professionally moderated traditional media platforms did super-well, but discussion boards fell really short. Social media giants were somewhere in between. Not too surprising, but no-one had done such an independent comparison earlier. In our core business we have very interesting new customers onboard, e.g. global e-commerce, gaming and social media brands.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: Utopia provides real-time text analytics services for any language. Our platform can also analyse images, as well as audio and video data. Our The flagship product is Utopia AI Moderator which is used to moderate any type of user-generated content. Utopia AI is amazingly accurate, and it doesn’t struggle with spelling errors or informal language. Utopia AI Claim Handler can analyse insurance claims and for example predict claims overspend before it occurs. Utopia AI Support Hero offers many types of automation for customer service needs and processes. Utopia builds a unique AI model for every customer. It’s trained with their data, and the model is ready in two weeks. The model follows customer’s policy. Traditionally moderation tools rely on complex set of rules. Utopia AI is different. It’s pure machine learning. Utopia keeps AI models up-to-date.
Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: Text analytics market is growing heavily. Utopia’s goal is to be the biggest operator in the world. We have technical lead because we can do any language in the same high quality, and the service is ready for use in two weeks which is very fast. So, stay tuned for good news.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: Utopia’s AI team has the world’s very first PhD in the field of language independent text analytics. We started with Finnish, one of the hardest languages to analyse automatically. When we unlocked it, we unlocked the rest of the languages too.
