Below is our recent interview with B.G. Clark, Chief development officer at Streamline Innovations, Inc:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?

A: Streamline was founded in 2016 by a group of seasoned professionals from the Oil & Gas and Municipal Infrastructure industries to develop and deploy the most robust and viable Hydrogen Sulfide treating technology. Initially named Streamline Chemical, we quickly realized that our value to customers was applying innovative solutions to complex issues. In 2019, we changed our name to Streamline Innovations while bringing in additional capital to our business, allowing us to fund our exceptional growth. We have achieved sustained growth because what we provide works!

Hydrogen Sulfide, also known as H2S, is a highly dangerous and regulated pollutant that is frequently present in natural gas, wastewater, and industrial processes. H2S at low levels is an odorous gas that smells like rotten eggs and becomes fatal to humans and animals at less than 1,000 parts per million in air. It causes billions of dollars of damage to infrastructure and equipment annually and contributes to acid rain when burned.

Streamline’s Vision is Eliminating Pollution Through Technology. We are enabling our customers to achieve meaningful reduction of harmful pollution and meet investor directives for positive environmental, social and governance results. We do this while answering strict industry demands to reduce operating costs and increase efficiency for gas and water treatment operations. In addition to removing H2S, our process can purify CO2 and Ammonia streams, allowing for a wider application of conversion, sequestration, and reuse strategies.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?

A: There is a global awakening to climate change that is driving and accelerating energy transition. H2S is a linchpin issue. Renewable fuels and biofuels/gas, as well as many of the blue and green energy forms such as hydrogen, all potentially contain significant amounts of H2S. In addition to our highly effective and efficient H2S treating technology, Streamline’s approach goes beyond simply removing H2S, we irreversibly destroy H2S by creating elemental sulfur that has beneficial reuse in agriculture. Our sulfur is listed by the Organic Material Research Institute as an approved fertilizer for organic food production. Simply put, we are supporting the worlds energy transition while creating a circular economy with our technology.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: Streamline’s core business focus is solving complex H2S treating challenges in both water and gas. Our foundation is Talon™, our non-toxic, biodegradable, regenerative Redox chemistry. Talon is easily applied in water and wastewater to break apart odor and corrosion causing sulfides throughout municipal, industrial and energy production processes. Talon is also be deployed for treating H2S in gas through our Valkyrie™ H2S Treating unit, with our award-winning automated intelligence system. Through our robust patented chemistry and application of digital technology, the Valkyrie™ provides the upmost flexibility and broadest operating envelope in the industry, while meeting strict outlet gas specifications with very high uptime and reliability.

Streamline has more than 70 employees providing turn-key project delivery, 24/7/365 operational support across oil and gas, renewable fuels, municipal wastewater, and industrial markets. To date, we have developed more than 20 Valkyries capable of preventing more than 66 million lbs. per year of SO2 emissions, and also treating 180 billion gallons of H2S laden wastewater each year.

Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: Over the next 6 months, Streamline will be entering the international market with focus on the Middle East, Europe and South America. We will have penetrated the renewable fuels, biogas, and industrial emissions market segments. Our newest application will be deploying our technology to support Carbon Capture Utilization and Sequestration (CCUS).

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: Streamline has cut our teeth in U.S. shale oil and gas who expect projects to be completed yesterday. As such, Streamline is a very nimble, fast-moving company. At the core, we are problem solvers. We have developed innovative solutions to complex problems, very quickly converting concepts to commercial reality. Our team is organized to be both strategic and visionary as well as pragmatic and tactical. Transitioning from a startup organization to a growth organization requires our team members to put aside ego and focus on what’s best for the company. That’s never easy with a group of Type A personalities but absolutely required to successfully grow at an ambitious pace.
