Below is our recent interview with Gabe Steerman, Marketing Manager at Strados Labs:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?

A: Strados Labs is a medical technology startup focused on improving respiratory care management. Our primary product is the RESP biosensor, a wearable device used for remote patient monitoring of lung sounds and other respiratory functions. The goal of our device is to provide clinicians with earlier insight that a patient with severe COPD, asthma or other cardiopulmonary disease is getting worse and prevent a hospitalization. The device is also used by pharmaceutical companies in clinical trials to help develop and test new drugs.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?

A: The study will take place in 12 different counties and 7 languages to support the clinical sites and patients.

It’s a substantial agreement with a lot of potential to grow and expand with their pipeline of respiratory therapeutics.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: The RESP biosensor is the only FDA cleared and CE marked wearable device that captures patient lung sounds and other functions like respiratory rate and chest excursions. Patient data is transferred to a clinician portal which is supported by machine learning algorithms that automatically identify a cough or wheeze.

Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: In the next 6 months we’re planning to launch several clinical studies in health systems to support the healthcare and telehealth mission of the company. We will continue expanding our presence in the pharma clinical trial market and also focus on fundraising our Series A round.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: The company’s mission is to improve outcomes for the millions of patients suffering from COPD, asthma, and other cardiopulmonary disease with an innovative, one-of-a-kind solution. The company’s founder, Nick Delmonico, is a former asthma and RSV patient that understands the pain points of being a patient, including trying to recall your symptoms and getting help too late
