Below is our recent interview with Michael Yinger, Director & Co-Founder of ResumeSieve:
Q: Michael, can you tell us something more about ResumeSieve?
A: ResumeSieve was organized in early 2020 with the intention of disrupting the recruiting industry with products that truly empower recruiters to be more effective and efficient in their process. Our initial direction was to convert our intellectual property into a working tool that would be commercially viable. We completed development of the first version of The Sieve™ in late 2020 and began marketing efforts in the 2nd quarter of 2021.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: During our beta testing, it became clear that we needed to integrate The Sieve™ with different applicant tracking systems to provide an easy way for recruiters to input their jobs and applicants into The Sieve™. We recently announced our 4th ATS integration with iCIMS. This is a two-way integration that allows the user to easily engage with The Sieve™ to evaluate and rank applicants. The actual integration is easily set up through the iCIMS marketplace, requiring little or no IT involvement on the part of the organization.
Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: In addition to iCIMS, we are also integrated with Zoho, Greenhouse, and Bullhorn. We have also integrated with another 3rd party assessment tool, Think-X, to provide evaluation services of the human potential (the soft skills) of the applicants. Think-X is accessed via The Sieve™ and the results are returned to The Sieve™, enabling the recruiter to select a slate of candidates to be shared with the HM who have been evaluated and ranked based on both hard and soft skills.
Q: What can we expect from your company in the next six months? What are your plans?
A: Over the next several months, we will be marketing extensively to the users of the ATS tools we have partnered with. We believe (and can demonstrate) that using The Sieve™ in conjunction with an ATS can save as much as 70% of the time typically spent evaluating candidates. This time savings can be directly felt in both a reduced time to fill and reduced cost per hire.
Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: The Sieve™ was the brainchild of one of our founders. The tool was created in-house to help the recruiters of an IT staffing company owned by some of our founders. The tool was so successful, they sold the staffing company and retained The Sieve™ with the intent of taking that tool to market to benefit the recruiting profession as a whole.
