Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: RegScale delivers continuous compliance automation for highly regulated public and private sector entities via an easy-to-use, streamlined platform. We are helping customers across financial services, energy, government and more manage any compliance obligation.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: RegScale announced a spinoff from C2 Labs, a digital transformation services company. We also secured an early funding round of $1.5M with participation from Virginia Innovation Partnership Corporation (formerly CIT), New Dominion Angels and several strategic investors. RegScale has already seen significant customer traction, with the U .S. Air Force (USAF), U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), a Fortune 500 financial services company, and Johnson Controls Federal Systems employing their Enterprise Edition (EE) software to meet compliance requirements.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: RegScale’s fully integrated automated compliance tool helps companies take control of their compliance obligations. Our customers can schedule audits, document associated issues, attach evidence, and track corrective actions to closure in a collaborative environment.
Our automated compliance tool is available in two versions: a free Community Edition (CE), and a paid Enterprise Edition (EE), ideal for large companies looking to relieve the burden of compliance.
Customers can integrate their existing security and compliance platforms with RegScale, supporting both manual and real-time automated assessments to help organizations better understand and manage compliance risks proactively.
Q: What can we expect from your company in the next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: We’re focused on driving the Regulatory Operations (RegOps) movement by building a community to drive cultural and technological transformation around compliance. The time has come to reimagine compliance and make it real-time, continuous, and complete; effectively shifting it left before systems are built as opposed to a largely (digital) paper-driven exercise that is instantly out of date the moment it is created. Our free RegScale Community Edition has been downloaded over 5000+ times since its original release in February of 2021. It’ll take a cultural transformation combined with tools to drive the RegOps movement.

A: We’re passionate about bringing innovation to this space. Our backgrounds serving in the DOE Nuclear Weapons Program and dealing with the complexities of building compliance documentation by hand was the key driver behind the development of this RegOps movement. We felt, first hand, the pain of having to physically sign off and accept risk on behalf of the government for operating these systems and decided, there’s GOT to be a better way. We love innovation and quickly bringing ideas to life which is why we’re growing so quickly in both staff and customers.
