Below is our recent interview with John Newman, Director of Marketing and Strategic Communications at Quality Incentive Company (QIC), following QIC’s recent announcement that former BI Worldwide Director Matt Patterson will be joining the firm’s business development team:

Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?

A: QIC creates recognition and incentive programs that motivate people, inspire higher performance, and deliver results. We carefully consider each client’s business objectives, brand, and culture to create solutions that integrate seamlessly into the organization’s overall strategy, engage the right people, and install more effective internal benchmarks and factors for success.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?

A: We are delighted to have Matt Patterson join the QIC team, and he is looking forward to connecting QIC with his extensive network of contacts in the technology, medical, and travel sectors throughout the northeast.

A born and raised New Englander, Matt has over 2 decades of industry experience. He enjoys collaborating with his clients on overall engagement strategies to increase sales and profitability. Matt’s unique, behavioral economics-based approach stands out from the crowd. He is also particularly knowledgeable and familiar with the technology community and tech go-to-market strategies, which supports QIC’s mission to design and implement best-in-class solutions that produce real results.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: Looking at incentive program award rules that we have developed for internal sales teams can provide good insight into how QIC thinks about its role as a business solution provider. Those award rules focus on recognizing and awarding key behaviors that are required for sales success – e.g., practicing the value proposition, using the sales methodology, doing research on accounts, setting appointments, creating proposals, and perfecting a technology demonstration. Identifying success-enabling behaviors is applicable to every program type – sales/channel incentives, safety, and comprehensive recognition, to name a few. Identifying these behaviors is also a key component of the program development process.

Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: QIC has high ambitions in the new year. First and foremost, we plan to continue upgrading and adding new elements to IncenTrac®, our proprietary and highly customizable technology platform, based on client and participant feedback. Further, we will soon launch a new and enhanced version of our company website, qualityincentivecompany.com. Lastly, with Matt now on the team, we look forward to penetrating further into the New England market and the northeast at large as we continue to transform into a truly nationwide business solutions provider.
