Q: When was Prima Solutions created? Can you tell us something more about the company
A: Prima Solutions was created in 2000, and the company has acquired several software providers in the last few years. One of the most significant developments occurred in December 2018, when Prima Solutions and Effisoft merged to create a major global Insurtech company. The merger between Effisoft, the leading vendor of reinsurance and regulatory software solutions for insurance and reinsurance companies across the globe, and Prima Solutions, one of Europe’s leading software providers for life, health, and property & casualty insurance companies, created one of the world’s largest and most comprehensive insurance technology providers.
Prima Solutions USA (formerly Effisoft USA), based in Coral Gables, is well recognized in the reinsurance market since the 2010s, thanks to its Prima XL software (formerly WebXL).
Prima Solutions serves more than 300 customers worldwide and works with a global network of partners.

Q: What are the key benefits of using Prima XL?
A: Prima XL is cloud-based, powerful and intuitive reinsurance software that collects, centralizes, and analyzes all data for insurers, reinsurers, and brokers.
It tracks all the information related to your reinsurance policies (treaties and facultative policies, claims, incidents, accounting data, technical data, auxiliary data, financial data, and more). Users can manage all of your policies, from underwriting to renewals.
Prima XL is a flexible solution tailored to international organizations using multiple currencies and multiple GAAP requirements.
Q: Who is your ideal user and why?
A: Our user could be someone who manages ceded or accepted reinsurance at an insurance company, a reinsurer director, an accountant, an IT expert, a CFO. They won’t need pure technical skills to use Prima XL because it is an easy-to-use user interface for all kinds of users.
Q: What’s the best thing about Prima Solutions that people might not know about?
A: We have been in the American market for a long time, with a constantly growing team based in Miami and Chicago, and have great references.
