Q: For those who haven’t heard of it, what is the best way to describe Parodist?
A: Parodist is an entertainment app that uses the latest deep learning technologies to recreate voices of celebs and use them for sounding personalized jokes and congratulations.
This is a great and safe way to prank your friend sending him/her a message in a parodied voice, for instance, of Elon Musk or Billie Eilish.
Q: Who is your ideal user and why?
A: Our users are people who appreciate technologies, fun, creativity, and celebs, of course. We think that an ideal user is a person who is not only willing to prank his/her friends but also creates a lot of content for social media. For this purpose, we have the Your Text section which allows users to sound any custom text in the cartoon voices. We believe that any content creator can use this feature in a fun way (just imagine Homer Simpson re-sounding “Old Town Road”!).

Q: 3. You’ve recently raised your new funding round; can you tell us something more?
A: Our last round was in 2018. It was for our main product, AI voice robot-recruiter that helps companies with the candidate screening process. We haven’t raised any money for the Parodist app yet, but we’re open to any offers and negotiations.
Q: What’s the best thing about Parodist that people might not know about?
A: We believe that Parodist is one of the best ways of using voice-cloning for entertainment purposes. On the one hand, the voices are realistic enough to prank someone. On the other hand, you can’t create a harmful deepfake because there are only templates with jokes and congratulations for all characters (except for cartoon ones) so there is a limitation that users can enter only names. Also, the app has an auto-moderation that bans and does not voice any curse words.

Q: What can we expect from Parodist in the near future?
A: A better quality of voices, more characters, and more jokes to voice.
In the nearest future, we’ll be able to please our Spanish-speaking users with the characters in Spanish. We’re also developing an absolutely new feature which is a secret thought. We hope to deliver it as soon as possible and surprise our users.
