Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: LIMS Wizards offers products that complement laboratory information management systems (LIMS) to encourage organizational digital transformation and improve scientific data integrity, visualization, and analytics. We provide the interface between the laboratory and the broader organization in order for sensible, fact-based business decisions to be made, and in near real time.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: The most exciting part of the announcement for us is the new mobile app we have created for Apple and Android phones and tablets. It effectively takes SampleVision™ out of the laboratory and into the field where it expedites the sample analysis submission process. With SampleVision™ 2.0, field representatives can input samples for testing and requestors can access results from the palms of their hands, at any hour, from any location. The mobile app provides access on demand, at the user’s convenience.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: SampleVision™ by LIMS Wizards is both a mobile and web application designed to enable users to request sample testing from a central laboratory and to see the results on any device, at any time, from anywhere. This adds value to the central lab as well. Instead of answering phone calls asking for updates, they can get back to their science. It’s also a cost-effective solution for sites that don’t require a LIMS license; SampleVision™ is their connection to the LIMS at the Central Lab.
Q: What can we expect from your company in the next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: We’ve already begun working on the next version of SampleVision™ with a few new features that we really think the users will like. We don’t want to spoil the surprise, but it’s advanced technology that will only make the users’ jobs easier. As we continue to release new features to better meet the needs of our customers, we will also continue work behind the scenes on plans to expand and improve, as well as take into account the useful feedback and insights from our customers.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: LIMS Wizards is led by senior-level lab informatics consultants with years of real-world experience working on projects in laboratories; for example, system implementations, enhancements, upgrades, training, and support. Our employees have LIMS, CDS, and ELN expertise—many with more than 20 years of hands-on practical experience. We know the industry well. Our countless hours working with the Lab and IT gave us insight into areas that could be improved upon. Our aim is to take that experience and create products that can make their work better and faster.
