Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to Vinpower Digital?
A: Founded in 2000 as a system integrator, we started out with lofty goals and a lot of determination. Unable to secure the services and hardware necessary to build products to our high standards, Vinpower Digital began developing and producing our own range of equipment, which we offered under the Vinpower brand and as OEM hardware. Vinpower became the benchmark in the standalone duplicator market for virtually all digital storage mediums including optical discs, flash (USB, SD, Etc.), and Hard Drives (HDD / SSD) by developing the highest quality and most reliable standalone controllers, manual tower, robotic autoloader duplicators, as well as automated robotic disc publishing systems on the market. In 2009, Vinpower aggressively entered the Optical Disc Media market to complement our array of optical disc duplication hardware. In 2013, Vinpower established our own line of recordable CD, DVD, and Blu-ray discs under our private label brands and as generic/OEM options, which quickly grew in global popularity and gained a reputation as being the ideal media for the professional duplication industry. In 2015, Vinpower incorporated a line of Apple MFI certified Lightning & USB 3 back-up and storage flash devices specifically designed for Apple iPhones, iPads, and iPods. These extremely compact and intuitive devices allow users to both back-up their photos and videos and expand the storage capacity of their Apple iPhones and iPads, but they also act as traveling media libraries whereas the user can watch movie/video content, listen to music/audio files, review documents like PDF, Excel, Word, and others, and exchange images/files with others without requiring internet or connecting to iTunes.

Q: You’ve recently announced the release of the exclusive Pioneer BDR-212V drive; can you tell us something more?
A: We have worked with Pioneer for many years focusing on the duplication market. Pioneer has been a leader in the optical disc drive (ODD) market since the inception of writable DVD’s. In the last couple of years, we’ve seen a drop off in the overall quality of standard DVD writer drives in terms of longevity and overall burning capability once the drives are heavily used. To offset this problem, we worked with Pioneer to develop the BDR-212V drive, where the “V” stands for Vinpower. We recognized that the Pioneer Blu-ray drives had very reliable hardware and technology, but that Vinpower could bring its long history in the duplication market to improve the drives writing capabilities, especially for the popular DVD recording market. Vinpower provided Pioneer’s engineering team with critical instructions on how to improve the writing strategy for DVD so that the BDR-212V drive will have better compatibility with a wider range of media, both high and low quality, provide the same burning quality regardless of whether the drive is cold (1st initiated) or hot (high volume continuous burning). We helped create a method where the drive can be rebooted for optimal performance if the user was seeing high failure rates and we provided insight to virtually eliminate the deep discolored burn marks on the writing side of the disc to ensure a consistent uniform writing strategy across the entire disc.
Q: Can you give us more insights into your products?
A: Vinpower Digital is focused specifically in the digital storage and duplication market. We believe there is still a strong market globally for physical storage of digital content and we are intent to service that segment of the market. In doing so, we continue to focus on products that other competitors have turned their back on, particularly in the optical disc, flash (USB, SD, etc.), hard drive (HDD / SSD), and related digital storage mediums. These products include duplication hardware (multi-drive manual tower and robotic autoloading duplicators), media (recordable CD, DVD, Blu-ray, USB, SD, SSD, etc.), and related products.
Recently, we’ve expanded our digital storage mantra into mobile devices, in particular, Apple iPhones and iPads. Vinpower deceloped the hardware and corresponding Apps for our new iXflash and upcoming iXflash Cube. Both of these small portable devices are able to provide simple and low cost solutions to not only backup critical content stored on iPhones and iPads, but also allow the user to access and utilize functions and programs stored on the iXflash or iXflash Cube from another source, like a computer, directly through an iPhone or iPad. These devices both extend the storage capacity of an iPhone or iPad, but become portable hard drives by storing critical content that can be viewed, edited, and saved through the their respective Apps and accessed through an iPhone / iPad or any computer with a USB connection.

Q: What can we expect from Vinpower Digital in next 6 months?
A: Vinpower will continue to focus on the digital storage market, but you’ll certainly see a bigger push into the mobile device storage market. At our core, we are about digital storage and ultimately, that comes in many fashions. But with a world that is no longer relying on stationary offices or work spaces, it’s important to have the means to easily set up a work station anywhere.
