Below is our recent interview with Adam Tavin, Managing Partner at Rabbit Product Design:
Q: Adam, can you tell us something more about your team and the company?
A: We have a multidisciplinary team of ALL senior-level researchers, designers, engineers, programmers, expert prototype builders, sourcing and manufacturing resources, and a marketing team that can define your brand, crowdfund your product, and provides ongoing digital marketing services to help you sell your product. Once your product is launched our clients will receive a real-time dashboard where they can track metrics such as revenue, profits, customer acquisition cost, and return on advertising spend with the goal of maximizing profitability. We will help you build a business that basically runs by itself.
Q: Can you give us insights into your services?
A: We are the only design firm in the U.S. with in-house “patent research and analysis” which is basically a patent search on steroids. In most cases, after doing a patent search there will be an infringement. The challenge is how to differentiate to minimize chances of infringement and find the gold nuggets of opportunity, then develop a product based on these exact opportunities. We developed an in-house software tool which allows us to visualize the patent landscape and find opportunities. Using these tools if there is a solution we will find it.
Our all senior level design and engineering team includes industrial designers, mechanical, electronics, and software engineers. We have the experience and knowledge to develop most products and build prototypes for validation. Having all senior level staff will result in less iterations of prototypes and fewer issues in manufacturing resulting in lower development and unit costs in production.
We offer U.S. Quality Manufacturing At Chinese Prices using an American owned and managed factory in Shenzhen China. This partnership will protect our client’s intellectual property, provide the lowest possible pricing, highest quality manufacturing, and handle shipping and logistics to distribution and due to massive shipping volume resulting in similar shipping rates as Amazon gets
For clients who need funding before starting manufacturing, we offer inhouse analytical crowdfunding services which means we will not let you launch until you have enough qualified emails in your interest list. The goal would be to raise capital for tooling and manufacturing setup, initial inventory, and marketing startup cost without giving up equity.
Once a product is manufactured and we have inventory to sell we can then help with our digital marketing services. We will set up a sales funnel or 1 page website with upsells then drive traffic through SEO (search engine optimization), PPC (pay per click advertising) on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Google, Bing, and even set up and manage your Amazon store.

Q: What are your plans for the future?
