Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: Global Collaborative SaaS Platform For Industrial Companies. OpenBOM is a SaaS network-based global collaborative platform that manages data, product development lifecycle, production planning, and connects manufacturers with their customers, contractors, and suppliers. It manages Parts, Documents, Bill of Materials, Vendors, Purchases and helps to manage organizational processes such as product data management, change management, procurement, and supplier collaboration.
Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: OpenBOM mission is to democratize the technology for product lifecycle management and collaboration and to make it available to a wide spectrum of industrial companies – manufacturing OEMs, engineering firms, contract manufacturers,s and many others. As part of this activity, we are launching a special educational event together with Share PLM to share knowledge about modern PLM systems, technologies, ways to build products and organize new customer experience from the initial product discovery online to training, onboarding, and usage of the system.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: OpenBOM helps engineers and manufacturing companies to manage product information, manage revisions, change processes, integrate data, and to help collaborate with contractors and suppliers. Q: What can we expect from your company in the next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: We are expanding in multiple directions. As such we are substantially improving OpenBOM functionality in change management, making big enhancements in product data management including engineering WIP file management as well as expanding in the AEC industry via our new aecbom.com partnership.
Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: Customer support is one of our competitive advantages. The engineering discipline is very complex and requires special knowledge to deal with.
