Below is our recent interview with Alex Charles, the Founder at GenText:

Q: Alex, can you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?

A: Sure. Our company is called GenText and we have developed an AI Assistant that helps business professionals write reports quickly and accurately. We offer an MS Word Add-in that seamlessly integrates with the software and uses advanced GPT technology that has been specifically fine-tuned for business use. Our goal is to streamline the report-writing process for our users and enable them to focus their valuable time on analysis.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?

A: Other than our launch on the Microsoft Appsource store, we also wanted to highlight that GenText has been selected to be part of the Microsoft for Startups Founders program, showcasing the company’s commitment to innovation and potential in the market. Microsoft has been kind enough to provide us with immense support such as priority access to the Open AI service and free usage of Azure server infrastructure. We are grateful for their support and look forward to a long and fruitful collaboration with Microsoft.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: Certainly! We offer three pricing tiers: Free, Business, and Enterprise, with each tier providing different usage limits and features. Our Free tier allows for up to 10,000 words per month, our Business tier provides usage of all features up to 100,000 words per month for USD 9 per month, and our Enterprise tier offers unlimited usage of all features for USD 18 per month.

Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: We launched to early testers in late March and have just launched an updated version for the general market in mid April. We already have over 1000 users from all across the world and some of our users use GenText to write documents in various languages such as French, Arabic and Mandarin.

Over the next 6 months, we aim to rapidly expand our user base and would like to update the add-in to be user friendly in multiple languages. We will also be regularly updating our underlying AI code base to keep pace with the latest advances in this rapidly growing industry.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: One interesting aspect of our paid user base is that several are tenured university professors. The academic world has been positioned as being hesitant about using AI technology, but our experience suggests that many academics are very eager to use the technology in their daily work.
