Q: For those who haven’t heard of it, what is the best way to describe Crystal?
A: Thousands of professionals globally use Crystal to communicate more effectively, write more persuasively, and build trust faster with new people, as well as learn about themselves and their team. Crystal integrates with top sales and marketing platforms, including Salesforce, Hubspot and LinkedIn and is used by customers including Accenture, Google, and Microsoft.
Q: How does Crystal know anyone’s personality?
A: Crystal uses a new technology called Personality AI that utilizes machine learning and artificial intelligence to predict someone’s personality using their online footprint. We brought Personality AI to market first in 2015. Since then, thousands of people have used Crystal and described its impact to their calls, emails, and meetings as “magic”. People are really excited by the ability to really understand those around them from just clicking the Crystal button on LinkedIn and immediately seeing insights about someone’s personality and how to best communicate with them.

Q: Can you tell us something more about Personality AI? How does it work?
A: Just like your brain processes information about someone, like their job or the way they speak, in orderto get to know them, Personality AI uses publicly available data about someone to make predictions about their personality. Personality AI is able to take millions of data points, much more than our brains can handle, to make incredibly accurate predictions. It uses different types of information, like text samples, demographic information, job experience, and more, to offer specific personality insights about a person and how to best communicate with them. Personality AI is like a coach for every conversation, helping you prepare and be more confident when communicating with anyone.
Q: How does Crystal categorize these predictions?
A: Crystal makes predictions using the DISC model, which has been rising in popularity, recently. The DISC model is ideal when trying to understand someone’s behavioral traits.
For users who want to discover their own personality, though, we have a free personality test they can take. We also have assessments for other personality models, like our Myers-Briggs test and our Enneagram test, for those who are passionate about personality.

Q: Why is now the time for a technology solution like Crystal?
