Jujotech is augmented reality and digital solution company based in Boulder, Colorado. It leverages a powerful software platform to deliver multimedia Augmented Reality (AR) content using its powerful pixel- tracking capabilities. Its products are able to present a multitude of information via real-time AR — text, audio, pictures, and video — on a single document. In addition, the company offers remote assist software solutions combined with guided workflow. As the Internet of Things continues to expand, along with the need for remote, in-the-field expertise, the AR technology and products we offer ties all these capabilities together as an engaging and immersive communication tool for numerous sectors, including retail, industrial, manufacturing, health care, and education. Below is our recent interview with Rafael Gutierrez, CEO at Jujotech:

Rafael Gutierrez

Q: You’ve recently been named one of the 20 Most Promising AR/VR Tech Solution Providers in the country by leading technology trade journal CIO Review; could you tell us something more?

A: Jujotech is integrating three key product offerings to transform just-in-time delivery of high-quality, high-value augmented and integrated content and information, particularly in industrial IoT environments. Since being named one of the 20 Most Promising AR/VR Tech Solution Providers in the country by leading technology trade journal CIO Review, we launched FusionAR, which augments IoT in the mobile space; Fusion Remote, which provides Audio/Video live communication used for remote assist; and Compass, which uses Jujotech Cloud for actionable digital content management used in training, guided workflow, and actionable IoT.

Q: Tell us more about your solutions?

A: Jujotech is continually searching for new ways to expand the value and utilization of augmented reality. Just recently, we introduced its latest products: Fusion AR and Fusion Remote, both powered by Jujotech patented SaaS platform branded as Compass.

Fusion AR is a real-time augmented reality solution for industry and businesses. Its hands-free technology enables field engineers to access just-in-time, actionable digital content as triggered by industrial internet of things (IIoT) analytics (provided by third parties) or by image target recognition on the field.

Fusion Remote (Remote Mentoring) is compatible with smart headsets and will be available as third-party software. Fusion Remote brings audio/video collaboration on the field, offering a consistent experience that fits all use cases and environments across an enterprise. In industrial settings, Fusion AR and Fusion Remote allow for seamless collaboration with experts available remotely, minimizing machine downtime and improving customer satisfaction. In marketing applications, the products provide an engaging user experience enhance product selection and information, with a specific call to action readily available at the consumer’s fingertips.

Q: Can you provide some real word use-cases that we can expect to see?

A: We are already beginning to see retailers use AR technology to help consumers visualize their products. Ikea recently enhanced its app to allow people to see its furniture in their homes. But imagine being able to walk down the aisle of any store, frame a product in your smartphone, and have instant access to product information, set-instructions, ingredients, reviews, etc. No QR code necessary.

In industrial and manufacturing, Jujotech users are able to look at equipment specs, repair information, workflow order, and have access to remote experts for maintenance and servicing.

Q: What are your plans for the future?

A: Our future plan is to provide seamless integration of XR (extended reality) fully integrated with remote assist and actionable digital content which is aligned to process complexity. For example: Complex processes such as a jet engine maintenance requires IoT/AR/remote Assist/guided workflow. On the other hand, an operator tasked with building or repairing an air conditioner may only require guided workflow. We plan to be a cost leader in this space.
