As Hollywood embarks on a transformative journey, the ITTV International Forum and TechInEntertainment (TiE) are poised to spearhead conversations surrounding innovation, strategic partnerships, and the pressing challenges facing the global entertainment industry. The 6th edition of the ITTV International Forum and TiE will convene at NeueHouse Hollywood on November 4th, bringing together 40 international speakers across nine panels to explore key issues and opportunities in this pivotal moment for the entertainment landscape.
“We view ITTV and TiE as a ‘State of the Industry’—a vital opportunity to reflect on the past year in film, television, and the technologies that support them,” stated Valentina Martelli, CEO of ITTV and co-founder of the Forum alongside Cristina Scognamillo. “Originally founded to strengthen ties between Italy and the U.S., our focus has expanded to foster global dialogue. Hollywood has faced significant challenges, including strikes, consolidation, and a talent exodus toward international markets. Our mission is to stimulate discussions that lead to new business opportunities.”
The ITTV Forum, which has established a strong presence at the Venice International Film Festival, serves as a crucial platform for dialogue between Hollywood and international entertainment professionals. This year’s discussions will address strategies Hollywood is implementing to navigate the aftermath of strikes and the reduction in content commissions, with a particular emphasis on emerging advertising models linked to ad-supported streaming platforms. The dynamics of content distribution between cinema and television will also be a focal point.
Key Topics of Discussion: Sports, International Co-Productions, and Immersive Technologies
One of the prominent themes will be the increasing role of sports in both scripted and unscripted entertainment. Panels will examine the potential of international co-productions to maintain creative autonomy and promote cultural diversity through cutting-edge technologies and multinational collaborations. V-Nova Studios will showcase advanced media innovations that redefine visual storytelling with the V-Nova PresenZ format, providing cinematic-quality experiences with full 6 Degrees of Freedom (6DoF).
New Partnerships and Commitment to Sustainability
The ITTV International Forum is excited to announce a new partnership with Titanus Production, the historic Italian film company founded in 1904, led by Maria Grazia Saccà. Returning as an ITTV partner, Insurgence, an L.A.-based indie filmmaker, has launched Insurgence International Television Distribution, expanding access to over 100 indie films and 60 documentaries in the global market.
In line with its sustainability commitment, ITTV is collaborating with Ecoflix, the first non-profit streaming platform dedicated to environmental protection and animal welfare. Ecoflix produces inspiring content that educates and encourages the protection of our planet.
Special Initiatives
This year marks the launch of the podcast “Let Me Call…,” hosted by Valentina Martelli, featuring engaging 15-20 minute conversations with industry leaders. Additionally, D.I.N.E. with Friends—an innovative networking format—will facilitate interaction among industry professionals.
