Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to your company?
A: Houm (YC W21) is an end-to-end solution that helps property owners to rent and sell their homes. It offers an online, fast and secure service that allows them to make the process up to 10x faster, thanks to technology along with their Houmers, freelancers who use their own Houm app.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: Houm had already raised a pre seed series of around $2 million USD, backed up with prestigious VC’s from Latam in 2019.
In December 2020, Houm was selected by Y Combinator for their W21 programme which ended at the end of march 2021 with the Demo Day and raising USD $8 million.
Some of the VC’s that invested are Y Combinator, Goodwater Ventures, OneVC, Vast VC, Liquid2, and Myelin. Besides, some great personalities part of this seed are Elad Gil, Eric Wu, Austen Allred and John Kobs.
Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: On one hand, we have our rental service that we charge for finding the tenant and then a monthly property management fee. So we find the tenant, collect the money every month, we take out our fees, take care of the property and guarantee to the landlord that he is gonna get his money every single month, even if the tenant doesn’t pay.
On the other hand, we help property owners to sell their homes and we charge a fee for the transaction.
Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: Consolidate ourselves as the main Proptech player in Colombia, México and Chile, doing rentals and sales.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: Last year we grew 5x in revenue and this year we are growing at a higher pace. We were only 25 a year ago and now we are 200.
We also embrace creativity, proactivity and innovation constantly. We give our team the chance to try new things all the time and be in a great work environment, enjoying 6 weeks of vacations and a flexible schedule, because we measure through results and one of our foundations is trust.
