Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?
A: We recently announced that freelancers on Fiverr have collectively earned over two billion dollars selling digital services through the platform. Of note, half of that two billion was earned in just over a year, as in February 2020 we announced that Fiverr freelancers had earned over one billion dollars since the company’s launch a decade prior. This milestone underscores the increased trust businesses are placing in freelancers and the benefit of integrating them into their workforce. During the pandemic and over the past year we saw freelancers joining Fiverr in record numbers; entrepreneurs continued to tap into freelance talent for help building new companies and small business owners turned to them to adapt to changing customer needs. Working with freelancers has proven to be an invaluable resource for businesses around the world, and the subsequent earnings clearly demonstrate this.
Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?
A: Fiverr operates through a Service-as-a-Product (“SaaP”) model to create an on-demand, e-commerce-like experience that makes working with freelancers as easy as buying something on Amazon. For businesses, finding the right talent, negotiating and contracting used to be a slow, difficult, and costly process; on Fiverr, it’s a seamless and intuitive browse, search, and click to order experience, with transparency and certainty on price, duration, and scope of work. For freelancers, Fiverr’s unique e-commerce platform provides direct access to the global demand from buyers. Instead of spending a large part of their time and effort marketing and bidding on projects, Fiverr brings them customers without any effort on the freelancers’ part. Once an order is placed, Fiverr provides freelancers with all of the back-office tools necessary for them to manage and run their business in the most efficient manner.
We also recently launched Fiverr Business, which is designed for corporate teams and departments to collaborate with each other while managing projects with freelance talent. Through the platform, managers of teams have the tools needed to give them the necessary overview and insight into all projects being managed through Fiverr. It also gives them the agility and productivity they need to grow and scale at pace.

Q: What can we expect from your company in the next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: At Fiverr, our purpose is to provide opportunities for anyone in the world to build their business, brand or dreams. We are constantly looking at the different ways Fiverr can impact the lives of people everywhere. We also continue to provide businesses with the support they need through the help of Fiverr freelancers. As businesses are currently facing mass resignations from employees across the U.S. combined with an already booming job market, tapping into freelance support will be even more important than ever. On Fiverr and Fiverr Business, they can find the skilled professionals they need to supplement businesses needs instead of scrambling to hire someone for the sake of filling empty roles.
Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?
A: Freelancers on Fiverr are able to choose their own rates and hours, taking on as much or as little work as they want at their desired pay, an example of Fiverr’s business model to sell service as a product, vs people by the hour. This allows freelancers to maintain flexibility in their daily schedules, but also provides the freedom to live as a digital nomad and travel around while still having a career.
