Q: Who is your ideal user and why?
A: Our ideal user, in a vague way, is everybody. All of us at Shells grew up on desktop computers, learning the ins and outs of systems, programming, networking. Back in our day which wasn’t even too long ago, we didn’t have the high-speed bandwidth that Shells offers. We didn’t have the myriad selection of Operating Systems available now, and we didn’t have a cloud desktop that we could utilize from the devices we bounce around on (work computer, laptop, home computer, tablets, phones). Now, we can set up desktops, servers, and deploy code within seconds to test, build, and host projects. We found our love in computing, and we want others to be able to find that same love too.
We at Shells.com want to open up opportunities for businesses, students, developers, and the casual user.
Q: Can you tell us something more about your pricing?
A: Our pricing varies depending on the resources needed for the user’s cloud computer. While we’ve created pre-built plans to support the most used computer setups — one has the ability to build their own computer (however many CPUs, RAM, and Storage that they need!) as another option.
Q: What can we expect from Shells in the next 6 months? What are your plans?
A: We have quite a few plans; we realized that you can do infinite things with a computer, especially in the cloud. We’re bringing some of those things that provide value to the consumers, and are eagerly looking forward to sharing that with the communities.
Overall, our plans are to continue adding features to the Shells.com desktop, improving customer experience with our product, and providing as many operating system options as possible to our users. We’re partnering with schools to provide Shells to students who can use the virtual desktop to access their work from any device at school or at home. We’re developing the infrastructure to support small businesses to rapidly provide computers and phones to their employees. We are also opening up a full VPS server company for all server-related needs.
For the innovators, developers, and business owners, we aim to offer them all the tools and services they may need. We’re greatly looking forward to the next 6 months, as our infrastructure grows to the needs of the users.

Q: What is the best thing about Shells that people might not know about?
A: Shells offers the best bandwidth in the cloud computing market. You get 500mbps up and down on all services currently, which is tentative as our services expand. Most other companies give you something like 5-100mbps, so it’s nice that our customers can utilize more.
