Below is our recent interview with Rahul Pandit, CEO at Car Driving Simulator:
Q: Could you provide our readers with a brief introduction to Car Driving Simulator?
A: People often get confused with our company’s name as it is same as one of the products that we are selling – Car Driving Simulator. One of the major reasons we named our company Car Driving Simulator is because we wanted people to find us quickly when they are looking for the product online. We are a company providing simulators for cars, trucks, forklifts and other vehicles.
Q: What is the story behind your company? How did you start?
A: I always had this fear of driving and used to think of ways to avoid it. To get over this fear, I joined a driving school and noticed there were a lot of people like me who lack the confidence to drive in traffic even after learning the basics of driving. Having previously worked in the simulation industry, I knew a virtual simulator training would be one of the solutions to tackle this problem. I was aware about the technology and benefits of how it will be helpful for the people. After extensive research and seeing the huge demand for the product, I kick started this business.

Q: Can you give us insights into your products?
A: As mentioned in the earlier question, we provide simulators for car, truck and forklift. Each product is used for improving and evaluating the skills of both light and heavy motor vehicle drivers.
Q: What are the benefits of your car driving simulator?
A: It provides a virtual platform wherein there is no fear of making any mistakes as there is no physical damage. The real time error stat helps students to improve their driving skills more quickly.
One of the major benefits is that it helps to improve both entry and advanced level driving skills. The simulator has training modules designed for helping you to tackle difficult situations you face while driving a real car. At the end of each training module, a detailed error report is generated wherein the driver’s skills can be evaluated. This helps the driver to rectify the mistakes committed earlier.
Its eco-friendly as it runs on electricity. A large amount of fuel is saved when the majority of training is conducted in a class room environment.

Q: How exactly does the simulator work? Is it only software application?
A: The simulator helps you to learn how to drive a car which eventually also helps you to get over the fear and makes you a confident driver. It has two main parts – hardware and the software application. The hardware includes actual vehicle parts like steering, gear box, handbrake, paddles etc. which provides a realistic driving experience. The software application replicates the movements of hardware as both are synced with each other.
Q: What are your plans for the future?
A: Expansion is one of our plans for the future. To make this happen, we have started getting in touch with distributors from outside India.
