Below is our recent interview with Bryan Forrester, Co-Founder and CEO at Boostlingo:

Q: Bryan, what is Boostlingo?

A: Boostlingo is an interpreting tech company based in Austin with employees around the world. We work with interpreting companies to source 13,000 interpreters around the globe who provide on-demand interpretation and who staff multilingual events.

In 2022, we acquired VoiceBoxer, a multilingual event, interpreting and video conferencing platform based in Copenhagen, and Interpreter Intelligence, an interpreter management and scheduling platform based out of San Francisco.

We’ve had record growth in 2022, and even earned a spot on the Inc. 5000. For us, this growth means more people getting the language support they need. We’re on a mission to expand language access and improve global communication.

Q: Any highlights on your recent announcement?

A: We’re so excited about SXSW choosing Caroline Remer, our VP of Language Access to host their meetup “Women Driving Tech Innovation for Good.” Caroline is our very first Language Access Executive, a position we created to cement our vision for more language support around the world.

Boost started in 2016 with a focus on tech that helped language service companies, and now we’ve expanded our reach into global industries as diverse as manufacturing compliance training to healthcare systems serving indigenous populations in Australia. SXSW is a great place for us to find others using their tech stacks to multiply their impact in underserved communities.

Q: Can you give us more insights into your offering?

A: Boostlingo offers on-demand video and phone interpretation in over 300 languages so that you can get connected instantly and serve more of your community. We also offer hybrid, online, and onsite event and meeting interpretation so that your whole team or audience can listen in their chosen language in real-time. Our integrations with Webex and Zoom make this even more accessible for more people.

Q: What can we expect from your company in next 6 months? What are your plans?

A: Our team will soon be rolling out server to server connectivity so that our international customers can get connected with our entire network of video interpreters. Our fill rates for call requests are already at 99%, and our language access team, led by Caroline, is continuing to add more interpreters and more languages into our professional network.

Q: What is the best thing about your company that people might not know about?

A: A lot of companies talk about their culture being great, but we’ve got the data to back it up.

We asked, and 76% of BoostOnDemand (our on-demand interpretation product) customers surveyed said they would recommend Boostlingo to a friend. Customers love using our platform and interacting with our team. Our employees are happy to be at Boostlingo and invested in the work we’re doing, and our customers can feel that in their interactions with our team.
